Bleaching/facings on Pro bats
« on: May 02, 2022, 10:04:19 AM »

Have been looking at old photos of the chappell brothers using their old graynics and have noticed that they are usually using the old painted faces/cloth covered and was wondering if there was a specific reason for that and why it has changed over time, perhaps a natural face is a way to sell prettier willow for more?

Maybe Gray Nicolls wanted to sell more of these bats so encouraged their pros to use them? Clear polyarmour/polyflex was a trend that lasted far longer.
