Tribute 5000
« on: August 15, 2008, 01:56:41 AM »

I have a Puma Tribute 5000 which is currently being refurbished because of a couple of splits that it has picked up. It is supposed to be Grade 1 wood but it only has 6 grains, is this right for a £180 Puma? I haven't had the chance to get a refund, because if I did I'd probably buy a Fusion or something.

Anyone else had any experiences with a Tribute?

If the 6 grains it has perform well then it is right for a £180 puma - but if they dont id be pretty mad ;)

If you weren't a Sussex and Brighton fan, I would have to call you an idiot!

But what was wrong with a short trip to Newbery??!!

puma willow looks poor, my ballistic 5000 looked poor, but played very very nicely!

Good to hear, I'll make sure its knocked in sufficiently after the refurb and hopefully its performance is better.

Just got the bat back from the refurb, I must say it looks much better and my mate finished the job by sanding and oiling the back and toe. The splits have been fully repaired and the bat is sounding rather good at the moment. I'll have to wait until tomorrow to give it a go in the nets.

I would post pictures but it's late and I have no idea where the camera is.

Still got this and as I'm preparing for the new season I've had a couple of nets with it and haven't exactly enjoyed playing with it, let alone played well, unlike it was with my previous Puma, the Stealth 3000.

If I posted pictures do you think any of you could state a price and the best way to sell it, because I really feel I should go to a Custom company like Warsop and take a look at their bats.

Cheers,
