Leverage iWinner Bowling Machine
« on: August 24, 2022, 05:48:06 PM »

Hi all,

Has anyone ever bought this machine? Any feedback cause I am planning to get one but don't have any reviews to go off of. How's the build quality and portability? Any feedback in terms of the app and how accurate the machine is?

Can't say I've come across it before, but the features on the top spec machine look pretty impressive for a little over 300 quid if it all works as described - worth a punt maybe!

Looks good to be honest, says you need to contact their sales team for International inquiries.

I have one, their UK supplier is Mansfield Sports who they will probably refer you too. They aren't particularly low cost from there though (£500 for the machine and £150 for the autofeeder) so it would be interesting to see if you can get it direct from leverage and how much it costs.

The machine itself..

Only uses heavy tennis balls and the iWin soft balls, so depends what are you using it for whether this will work for you. I really enjoyed the tennis balls, meant I could get a decent session in with minimal protective gear and they felt pretty good off the bat, the spin/swing options don't really work with these though. The iWin soft balls are awful, rubbery like a bouncy ball, I enquired about the harder ones that seem to be used in the various videos but apparently these won't work in the English climate. Also, the advertised 130k speed just doesn't happen with either of these balls, assume it does with the harder ones.

Pretty light but a bit of a fiddle to set up, the legs attach with nuts and bolts so you need to go to a session armed with spanner etc

Very smooth, accurate and quiet performance. Digital panel is fairly easy to use and adjusting line and length is just done by tilting the head.

The autofeeder is terrible, the balls either get stuck or fire out 2 at a time. I managed to get it just about useable after back and forths with leverage and some modifications. Another feature I think probably works better with the hard balls but it's not a great design anyway.

Despite the issues I was really enjoying using it for drill sessions but after about 10 uses one of the wheels split, no idea if this is common or not. I am currently having a nightmare with Mansfield trying to get it replaced or refunded, their customer service has been dreadful from the start (I can't elaborate on that in DM if you want details).

Having read that back I would be surprised if this hasn't you off, but feel free to ask me any questions!
