Cricket Grip Socks
« on: October 20, 2022, 03:45:28 PM »

Having been pestered by various people about the lack of decent cricket socks I’ve taken the plunge and have these en route as samples.

I’ve used the TT branding in the event people use them for football of other sports during the winter months.

I thought I’d get some feedback from the CBFers about them.

Price wise I’m looking at the below-

£9.99 a pair of 3 pairs for £24.

As mentioned feedback welcomed 🫡

Have you tried them out yet yet? I'd be keen, I wore through my gain the edge socks in the heel in 1/2 a season.

Got a few people lined up to try them out to put them through their paces 👍

Will have to commit to a production run shortly though so wanted some feedback in the event my tastes are crap 😂

A mate of mine took the plunge with these type of socks for his semi pro football team after a player slipped before a match and missed the season. Similar to what Foakes did from memory.

Personally I like the design and would be keen on a pair as I use GM socks that are really comfy but super hot in summer and I hit hot feet so size 8 mate and I’ll take a pair

Look good to me mate, design is good i think. I don't like traditional woolly socks, so these look good to me. Only issue I've found when wearing similar grip socks is getting cricket shoes on easily, or at least the ones with a built in 'sock' anyway.

Hopefully yes from the spec I’ve requested. As I say I’ve got time to tweak things from the samples before committing to larger volumes.

My eldest bday party was at airhop…for the price I paid I’d bloody well want free socks…yet still had to pay £2.50 a pair!

Do they have  a decent amount of cushioning plus padding to heel area and up to Achilles?

I've been using socks like these for a while for cricket and golf. I can't speak any higher of them. They're amazing! They do everything I need them to. Especially during a full swing and in the field, it's 1 less thing to worry about. I buy a new set of 3 off amazon for about the same price but when I need my next set they'll be TT (I want a few new things from Ayrtek)

The cream area is thicker than the rest of the sock to pad out the sole area. They provide a nice form fit around the Achilles area and are super comfy.

I sent out some samples to people for review/feedback and they’ve gone down very well hence progressing to a formal order that’s on its way currently 👍
