Neon 2023
« on: November 18, 2022, 01:07:35 PM »

Afternoon all,

I've been very much a reader as apposed to a regular poster lately, largely just due to being so busy with life (2 kids under 2 and effectively 2 full-time jobs isn't a good mix!!) but I just wanted to bring your attention to the release of pre-orders for the 2023 Neon Cricket range. It's mostly mock-ups at the moment on the bat front as these are in production, and proper images of each of the bats will be distributed later in the month, but as a brand that's been on this forum since very humble beginnings I'll always have a soft spot for CBF and it's many quirks so I wanted to share the range with you which has currently only been announced to my loyal newsletter subscribers. I will make an effort to get more 'proper' images added to this thread as and when they become available too!

The website is now back live at https://www.neoncricket.co.uk/ and as a special bonus for the CBF family I've upped the usual CBF discount code to a rather generous 25% off everything for any pre-orders placed between now and Dec 17th. To access this discount you simply need to enter the code CBF at the checkout online - this will then drop back down to the standard 15% after Dec 17th has passed.

In addition to this, I'm also running our ever-popular 'WIN YOUR ORDER FOR FREE' competition - for anyone who places an order between now and Dec 17th you'll also be entered into the hat for the chance to win your order refunded in full, because after all who doesn't love free kit?! Last year's winner walked away with over £600's worth of kit so it tends to be a pretty big prize!

As ever, thanks to those on the forum who have supported the brand overs the years and taken it from the humble roots of a shared 7-bed uni house (taking that bedroom brand tag to the limit!!) to our current facility and being part-owned by Ian Bell himself, along with a soon-to-be-announced England star coming onboard from January - it's been quite the journey!!! :D

Will the hybrid range be making a reappearance this year or is it discontinued? Any idea when small men's softs might be available too?

No it's just the top range again, won't go into the details but I'm sure most can guess why - starts with a P and ends with an E!

Small Men's wise, the pads are online now and gloves will be January - just didn't want to put anything up that I know can't be delivered before Christmas. There's been delays with getting Pittards out to India so it all stems from that with the gloves.

Ah that's a shame, I've got the top range and they're brilliant so the hybrid was on the wishlist for midweeks! Totally understand why though.

Cheers, will keep an eye out for the gloves as mine could do with a refresh.

Have to give a quick shout out to the guys at Neon. I'd ordered a fresh set of batting pads at 2:30am on Thursday (after maybe a couple of beers). Despite this ridiculous order time, the pads were in my hands at 10:30 this morning, not even 36 hours later.

Absolutely outstanding customer service, just a shame the indoor net I'd ordered them for is cancelled this week!

Front page of BBC Sport and Belly on board and promoting you, worse positions to be in for a cricket business 😅

Naturally it's gutting for the side that they didn't get through to the final having had such a good tournament up until then, but purely from a marketing perspective it doesn't get much bigger than the front page of BBC sport - safe to say the reaction/number of messages I've received from both the actual game on sky and the subsequent posts on BBC/Sky socials afterwards confirms it wasn't a bad thing (and also shows just how many are watching women's cricket now!).
