« on: December 02, 2022, 04:40:08 AM »

2 of my best sticks would have to be the ulysses 25th anniversary and with the business closing i have been trying to replace them trying anything and everything. But i have seen now they are back with full kit and it looks so good in my opinion for photos please go to their instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ulyssescricket/?hl=en
I will have a keen update after i probably have a kit overhaul from them lol

Wasn't the previous version of Ulysses all kinds of dubious - no connection to the original brand but stole the name and used it to charge ripoff prices? Wonder if it's someone new this time.

So they're not back then? Someone else is just using the name? That link seems to be for an account that's been around for a while. Few years at least 🤔

Ah I remember Ulysses from back in the day - a rare thing indeed in the north of England in the 1990s!

There were a few at our club, which I'm pretty sure belonged to our overseas amateur, Chris Holding. As a wide-eyed bat nerd teenager, I cared more about the bat than who was holding it...

which turns out is Gary Neville in this photo (2/3 of the way down), who is stood next to some bloke called Matt Hayden?!

I'm pretty sure Gary was actually sponspored by the Classic Bat Company, and he just grabbed a bat for this photo, but that's for another thread.
