Hi Guys,

Who's stocking or selling these (apart from Lekka Direct). Or has anyone got any of these for sale?

Prodirect stock the aero grips....can't find a stockist of the xtrax grip though and it's that one i prefer as it feels a tad thicker in your hands.....nice bit of girth!!!

I had a discusion with someone on this topic on another of these blogs. Personally I am with SS

If you are going to go for a hockey stick grip, these are much better... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RAB-Hockey-EnduraMicro-BULK-Grip_W0QQitemZ320498845253QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Hockey?hash=item4a9f384645
I have tried the karakal version on a hockey stick and they absorb way too much "feel" and I would imagine they would do the same for a cricket bat. There is more info on the RAB grip here http://www.r-a-b.com/productDetailGrips.cfm?type=All Grips&name=Hockey EnduraMicro (BULK)&use=&code=GR-END-MIC-HOCKEY-BULK

If you want a maroon karakal hockey grip, I have one which I can send to you for £5 posted, but I really wouldn't use it for a cricket bat.

It's ok mate the CEO of karakal was my dads best man ;) so just wondered if they were worth using or adapting to the cricket market hence why i asked about feedback as not used them myself.

So would ideally be looking for them to add more feeling when hitting the ball?

I guessed you might have a contact!! The rab grips are much better in my view. I might try one on a cricket bat with some old gloves.

Wasnt a sales pitch mate honest lol..... just interested in the difference in opinion between Aero/Lekka grips etc as they seem to be adapting something that has been around to suit the cricket world which is always good to see.

Is there much of a range of colours for the Xtrax grips - as the Aero ones are more colourfull.

Also, have heard that the Xtrax ones are a little thicker.

Anyone shed any light on this?

What colours do people prefer - the normal blacks, whites, reds and blues etc......or do you, much like the Cat, prefer anything that is bright and sparkly????

Mr Cattus,

I have one of each on 2 of my bats....not sure about the availability of different colours but the xtrax definitely feels thicker in the hands....hence my comment about Girth!
