2,10 on the sticker. Not sure of profile but it had the high-ish middle he wanted with enough meat in the toe.
I had the feeling it wouldn't be lighter than 2lb 10oz, as I've not seen one.
So you think 2lb 10oz is a good weight for a 14 years old?
Don't think you or your friend has done a favour to that lad, by selling an expensive heavy bat, which felt good in the shop.

Again, yep, time will tell. It was their choice. It was their idea that if it was slightly too heavy then they'd use it in the nets and buy a lighter one as a match bat. Different league to the one I'm in.

If 2lbs 10oz is heavy, then what's 2lbs 13oz +?! A bat is only as heavy or as light as it feels to that person really.

I had someone in my workshop on Saturday who picked up a 2lbs 11.5oz and couldn't believe it wasn't 2lbs 8oz/9oz until i put it on the scales. His mate guessed 2lbs 10oz. They both used heavier bats, so to them it felt very light. To me it feels 2lbs 9oz/10oz and in my weight range, so everyone is different.

So, who is anyone to tell someone what they feel is right or wrong? You'd think most 14 year olds wouldn't use a 2lbs 10oz, but that's not to say they couldn't or indeed shouldn't, if they can handle it. Do all adults use the same weight? No. So makes sense to me that not all juniors would be comfortable with the same weight either.

Thank God everyone is different eh?! Sorry Sachin lad, but you'll never score runs with that 3lbs bat.....😆

I've got the answer on this from Jaffa.

I had the feeling no matter what answer I gave, you wouldn't agree with it.

I went through all the pros and cons. If it doesn't work out in reality, they'll be back when the lighter bats are in stock. Can't figure out what's not to like.
