It's his fault for using a bright pink SF. Mallender well within his rights to saw him off...

This young lad Bean sounds like a properly exciting player to watch, but then I suppose he would be with a quadruple ton to his name for the 2nd team!

Watching this innings from Foakes and the notion of dropping him from the England side is just absolutely bonkers

The idea that Bairstow gets to keep ahead of Foakes is ridiculous.

I agree. You’d think Bairstow fancies it given he’s keeping for Yorks.. Where to bat Bairstow and Brook though if Foakes does keep

Foakes done today what he has done for England. Same type of innings. I think he’s an automatic pick myself but with Stokes not bowling unless we are on a green seamer we are not getting all the batters in.

The obvious call is take the last 12 months and single the one batter than does not deserve to be there because Bairstow has to be in the side as a batsman

Except Bairstow doesn't have to be in there as a batsman

The only real available spot is Crawley's and we should absolutely not open with Bairstow

He got injured at an awful time, that's bad luck, brook has more than earned a run

There has been plenty of players in form to then get injured and there will be plenty more

Unfortunately Jonny has to wait for his chance again

I am no Baz McCullum but I suspect that Bairstow's 6 test hundreds in 2022 will probably carry more weight than Foakes scoring 70-odd against the medium pace of Tom Bailey and Will Williams

The same people who most strongly insisted Foakes must be picked will be the same ones...

Been really enjoying seeing players I hadn't heard of before today on social media/ YouTube. Some good county players out there.
