Stokes bowled a sufficient spell in the nets today which seems to suggest he's up to the task.

Robinson, Anderson and Broad. I would be surprised if its a pitch for Bazball. Clearly Eng is backing the ball to do things.

much as YJB could bat 6 and Mo 7, not sure I fancy Broad at 8

No we are a bowler or bowling all rounder short here. Cannot see Stokes bowling much despite what he does in the nets.

One thing I think will happen is the Aussies will try to hit Mo out of the attack if the pitch is true.

Completely agree. The lack of a genuine quick bowler for England is concerning, but hard to drop any of Broad, Anderson or Robinson. Would like to have seen Wood included. Feel like they had to play Mo after bringing him back, but not sure that's the right decision, short of him offering a bit more with the bat.

An attack crying out for a green seamer and winning the toss!

People genuinely don't believe Stokes when he asked for flat and fast wickets right

In an interview yesterday the Edgbaston Head Groundsman said that he hasn't heard from anyone in the England set-up during the 11 years he's been in the job.

He saw the quote from Stokes about fast pitches on Sky Sports News

Calling BS from the groundsman there. (not Ben Stokes)

Not good initial signs looking at the pitch. Its relatively warm for this time of the year, but this looks like a road which might take turn from Day 3.

This is terrible captaincy from Cummins - far too negative, too easy for England
