Yeah I don’t think he is going to be able to bowl properly with that.

He got hit for a few runs but did make chances as he usually does.

Two cymbals didn’t help behind the sticks

They may look at Ahmed. If there’s a captain who can manage a younger player Stokes looks to have far more to give than Root or Cook ever did. After Swann retired I mean

His finger looks in bad order.

How has he even done that? Just by bowling a lot of overs? He might not have the practice of bowling long spells but never seen a spinner's finger get injured that way before.

At a guess, he's not bowling much playing T20 and hasn't built up a callus  on his spinning finger. Going from that into bowling heaps of overs in a Test match, he's just ripped his finger to bits.

This is a pretty common off spinners injury. Ask Tim May or Graeme Swann...

We need a 325 plus lead. Possibly 350 plus.
So Stokes will set them 300. Despite being a bowler probably down

You don't if you're 90 percent of CBF members, you just drop Bairstow! 😆 Would be great to get them both in, but not sure it's possible.

Could have done without that from Root. Was enjoying his knock this morning!

Lucky boy is Stokes. Looking very scratchy, could have done with more time at the crease before the series you have to think.

Such a bad time to lose a wicket that. Especially as Brook was looking so good.

These runs from 9/10/11 are really, really, vital. Still can only hope they can get to 300

Aussies should knock this off pretty easily here, first innings declaration looks even more daft now.
We have given this up a bit in my view.
