Literally unexpected but Broad will hang up the boots at the conclusion of the final Ashes Test.

Fantastic bowler going out on a high
The next few months giving way to the Hundred and no tests till 2024.

Out at the top and hopefully a squared series to sign off on.

Perfect timing. Interesting that it comes the day after Anderson says he wants to carry on. Would be great if the two of them could bowl us to victory tomorrow.

Will we see him in the comms box?

Especially surprising if you heard his other half talking to Jonathan Agnew at tea on TMS!

There’s a long break between tests now and it’s hard to see Anderson touring India next year and Sri Lanka away I think.

He’s just looking a little bit old in this series as opposed to Broad who has bowled as well as I’ve seen him for years

Going to be a belting atmosphere as Broad and Anderson walk out to bat tomorrow.
A couple of boundaries and the crowd will be nicely warmed up for one more Warner Lbw Broad...

As for Jimmy, I think he is done too. But who knows.

Often an overused term but really is a Legend of English cricket and Teat match cricket over 600 wickets for a fast bowler is amazing. Been dropped multiple times but has been our best bowler for the past 18months. Capable of devastating spells and has a Lords Hundred.

Will be sorely missed and with Anderson not going to last much longer will be a huge gap to fill

Anderson's been pretty clear he wants to carry on and Stokes is still happy with him. Doesn't seem to be happening yet.

Grown up with Stuart, will be so weird without him. The ultimate piss boiler

He’s been a great competitor, has wound up the Aussies many times which brings me great joy.

Oh for one more special Broady spell, and with Anderson too better still.

If you haven't listened to it yet, the Stuart Broad "high performance podcast" is a brilliant listen.

Great recommendation,  @Buzz.

Listened to this while putting some wardrobes together. Great interview. Broad came across really well.

Yeah good podcast to listen to. The team ethic and manner created by successful teams has always been my interest. We had a change of culture with Morgan and Baz and Stokes seem to of created it with the test side.

Broad may or may not of retired a bit early but he was really good to listen to
