England's white ball reset isn't going so well is it...
« on: December 14, 2023, 08:39:42 PM »

Feels like this England squad is all just a bit to cozy.
Not sure Buttler and Mott as a combo is working so well.

Seems like Rob Key didn’t want to make the difficult decision after World Cup, after these losses need to move forward . Butler it just hasn’t worked out as captain or Mott as coach .

Mott can get replaced but who you give captaincy too ?

I think we are getting it half right. Younger players should be given the chance

Atkinson
Rehan
Jacks
Salt
Brook

But we have given some players a real long run we little being paid back

Livingstone how he gets a game is baffling.

I think Butler should move back up top there’s nothing to lose

I don’t see the current coach lasting too much longer and our bowling attack need Topley fit he is by far our best seamer

Buttler's decision making as skipper has been awful, poor field setting, poor bowling changes and now poor batting ordering.

I like that they're trying to integrate younger players but the selections have been baffling in places and a blind man could see that some players need to specialise in one white ball format.

What about Curran

Ok he hit some runs today but he’s more a bowler and seems way too easy to smash all over the park but the big hitters

Brook can be class but for every decent innings there are 4 or 5 low scores across all formats...suppose he's only a youngun

I think they all look knackered. A few months off would do the world of good.

They need better frontline seam bowling options. Mills has some x-factor but Woakes and Curran are cannon fodder if conditions aren't conducive. Curran gives more with the batting so I'd like to see another genuine quick, ideally with a bit of height and bounce. Shame Topley is injured.

He’s been a bit in and out he was not originally in the WC side. It has always been difficult when any team is rebuilding but he is one player that looks like he could be a bit special in tests and white ball.

Too low down in the order thou and he wont do much I don’t think so a regular spot in the top 5

I don’t think Livingstone should be in the side at all

Some serious confidence and talent to come in and do that.
Amazing hitting from him and Salt.

Lots of muddled thinking going on right now.
