Difficult to do with shoes if you're designing a truly new product I'd imagine. I'd imagine there's a lot of cost involved in research, design and production if doing it properly and not just using a 'white label' type approach.

Yeah the costs involved from the ground up are astronomical if you're truly starting from scratch, the big brands spend millions on research for this sort of thing - the initial molding alone is silly money.

There are a few places you can get 'white label' shoes made now, but even their MOQs are in the 3,000+ pairs range so it's not a cheap endeavor to get into (can you tell I've looked into it aha :D)

Of all the brands out there yours is one of the few that'd look proper tidy on a shoe.

Waiting for return of your clothing range- you had the best trousers before. I reckon a nice Neon leisure range would be great too

Thanks! If it wasn't for shoes being such a minefield I'd be all over it, will leave that one to the big boys aha

Give it 2/3 weeks and it should all be online... leisurewear included - only about 3 years late!

Payntr version 2.0

Hi Everyone. Thanks for discussing our cricket shoes on here and great to see the feedback - literally anything good or bad is amazing. In terms of the ME+U shoes we have actually come with a different offer across our men cricket shoes and womens cricket shoes. We have a unique heel counter that distributes the load at a 45 degree angle into the ground reducing loading into the ankle, knees and lower back and we also have a dual stabilisation system with two tpu supports on the inside and outside of the shoe which actually make us unique and our design is significantly different to any other brand. The design is put in place to increase comfort whether you are a club cricketer or a pro. The shoes were extensively tested last summer. I'd rather steer clear of talking about the other brands in detail.

The brand and the shoes won't be for everyone and we are ok with that as we wanted to create a premium product. Just to reference Neon's comments about the costs of creating shoes - the time and costs is incredible and the MOQs high - so it is incredibly difficult to create an affordable cricket shoe from scratch. I'd be happy to answer any questions on ME+U Cricket Shoes and feedback is always welcome - contact@meplusu.co.uk

Fair play and a detailed answer. Naming and appearance will always be subjective.

Wish you the best.

Great to see people innovating. Intrigued by angle changing pressure.

If I may provide some feedback of my own

I would be put off buying the product because of the quality of the product descriptions and copywriting on your website. The price point is pretty high so I'd expect a high quality shoe, but to me the mistakes and poor wording of the website does not inspire confidence in the product being of good quality at all.

A few examples:

Quote
ME+U Cricket Bowling Shoes as warn by Mumbai Indians and West Indies International Legend Kieron Pollard. Kieron uses the ME+U Cricket Bowling shoes as he go to for batting.
Aside from the spelling and wording issues there, why are the bowling shoes his go to for batting? Especially when the All Rounder shoe also says that's his go to for batting, is he wearing one on each foot?

Quote
Flexible sole (mid foot and toe box only):
Allows for flexibility and through the ball of the foot and toes toes while batting...
This doesn't make sense to me?

Quote
Innovative fabrics

Experience the ultimate in lightweight, breathable footwear with our fly-knitted upper and TPU foil wrap. This combination not only provides exceptional ventilation.
Not only ventilation... What else??

And one last note
Quote
Pre-Order now for delivery in March
It's may now, are they available or still on pre order?

Hi! Thank you for the feedback and for picking this up... generally I write the copy myself and I changed the wording only on Tuesday. I don't like mentioning this but I am dyslexic which doesn't help with my copy writing! I'm going to get our web designer to check this for me! I should really use MS Word for the initaial run to pick up errors and then transfer to the webpage. Thanks again for your feeddback.Best wishes
