Newbery Centurion
« on: March 31, 2024, 10:01:18 AM »

Photographs of a Newbery Centurion which I had in my possession earlier this year.
Weight 2lb 11oz with 38mm edges.
Had removed the grip as it was tarnished.
There seems to be a cosmetic fault on the rear, at the base.
Have featured some of the detail to help identify who manufactured it.

Is this meant to be top of range bat?

Was in shop a few weeks back ( use the nets) and all bats in shop are blank so assume “graded” when you buy. Wasn’t many nice blemish free bats in there.

Shame as used to be so good

The twine used is used by 2 batmakers I know of it the glued shiny slippy type by the looks of it and the handle is used by the same 2 makers too
