What happened to Mongoose

Nice interview with one of the founders of Mongoose. He's very open on what went wrong and what he would have done differently.

If only he'd have kept a few of the bats, he could be selling them for over £1000 on ebay now :)

@Tom founding father of the forum going way back to the early days that some of us have been on here since.

Interesting concept with the mongoose that one of my previous shareholders was offered for £1m a while back before launch. As Tom mentioned in the article the cricket industry is reluctant to embrace innovation and change which makes it tricky for new products and concepts to be accepted and make it beyond the initial few years of business.

Yep that's me. Still have 3 bats hanging around, one of Lou Vincent's and 2 1st edition Mongeese but would never sell also have all the sticker blueprints and designs kicking around too.

After all the investment, the reboot out of administration and everything else; the brand sold for less than £30k (with about £25k worth of stock) around 5 years ago. Sat near dormant since. A shame really.

For any of the true badgers amongst us, this is a must read (hope you don't mind me sharing @Tom!). I have to admit I've read through it multiple times over the years, definitely had an influence on Neon as things have grown.

Are these really selling for a lot? I think I may have to start digging around in my collection.  ;)
