Pakistan are mentally weak. Who scores 550+ and loses by an innings

Nice to see, but this surface is shameful

Totally agree, great to see that England will most likely now win this on the last day but that kind of wicket is awful really for the game, in back to back series bowlers will be flogged.

Can’t see how Pakistan get back into the series after this defeat

Just a wierd game. But some performance from Brook and Root. We could easily have collapsed in a heap too.

I don't know. A tired shot from Pope aside, the whole top 6 batted well. Crawley and Duckett did what they are there to do, Root and Brook were exceptional, and Smith came in and went after it as he was presumably told to. Even Woakes, Atkinson and Carse I thought could have got scores if they weren't just trying to go for it, Pakistan's bowling was pretty average.

Two bit of news this morning...

Pakistan are going to reuse the Multan pitch for the second test.

Shaheen and Babar have been dropped

Pakistan will end up like the West Indies. Best players will opt for t20 mercenary contracts…
Pakistan only genuinely had two elite level players - Azam and Afridi. Both were humiliated by having the captaincy stripped for no reason.

Gosh - is it possible this might be a turgid affair for the first couple of days?

Pakistan slowly accumulate 450 and then England 'Bazball' themselves out twice to the spinners?

]Love this photo...

International test debut with a used bat with torn stickers! so raw!

Unfortunately like many have said politics, interference, player and ex player egos have destroyed the Pakistan team... feel the last year has shown how far they have fallen. I feel we may decline further unless there's stability at the top for a prolonged period  :( :( :( :(.

Maybe just my eyes but is Kamran using a shorter than SH bat? Wouldn't be stunned given he's 5 foot 6, but it may also just be me seeing things.

I think he was using an SS bat with an but of the toe cut off.

Zooming in does look like an SG stamp on the side.

Seems a few of the Pak players are using SS/SG bats as they have some well placed plaster tape over the edge that often has the laser embossed logo of said brands. Maybe even a Babar or Rizwan GN
