With the risk of an absolute road like the last tour I think Potts will be needed to do the hard yards, definitely has the engine for it.

Still mystified that Dawson is frozen out given how good he has been the last few years but that ship seems to have sailed.

To be fair, Dawson has been on amazing form! But it looks like England don't look at in-form players if they are "too old"!

Tremendous start for Pakistan this AM. Going at 4.5 an over and really challenging the Eng bowlers. Leach the only bowler to maintain any form of control.

This is a great platform now for the Pak middle order too.

Some knock so far from Shan Masood, such a stylish player on his day and comes across so well in interviews you can't help but like him.

Cricinfo said it was his first score of over 60 in four years.

I'm actually finding myself glad that work has been so boring because it's made the cricket seem more interesting by comparison.

Going by the fielding in the last 10 minutes England could be in a bit of bother if they have to bat today, look absolutely knackered.

If Smith or Atkinson take their chances, Duckett isn't injured and Pope doesn't play that awful shot to get out 🤦‍♂️

Partnership record for England almost set. Not sure what else is realistically on the cards.
