India vs NZ
« on: October 17, 2024, 08:24:47 AM »

Well, well. India all out for 46, their third lowest ever total, and playing on home turf. Looks like pretty much full stength batting side.

Already NZ up to 21 without loss, anyone watching it, and what's the play - pitch or excellent NZ bowling, or both?

only saw a set of highlights, but the takeaway I think is cloud rolled in after the toss.  NZ confirmed they were intending to bat first given the opportunity.

Well done NZ, just taken down India in their series, in India! First home series defeat for India in 12 years, and first NZ series win in India.

Another slow left armer with a bucketload of wickets today.

3-0 whitewash for NZ away against Ind - congrats NZ! Well played!

Wonder if anyone has seen any of the presentations at the end of the matches but it feels like a primary school sports meet presentation - everyone gets awards, including a lot of awards to the players from the team that just got beat 3-0!!! I say stick to those who actually made a difference to winning the games, most often than not that will be someone from the winning side!! It feels like at the end of a football match awarding someone for the most own goals!!! Smacks of corporate influence to get their sponsors' names on TV.

What an amazing series for the Kiwi's.

On the flip side, the drop off in performances from the experienced core of Kohli and Rohit plus the spin twins of Ashwin and Jadaja must be a concern for India. You wonder how many will make it beyond the Aus tour, let alone next Spring in England
