Your 2025 kit...
« on: November 08, 2024, 12:58:54 PM »

Last year's kit thread was a bit of a shocker with hardly any kit posted... (I am also guilty of not posting)

But that was because there was virtually no change in my kit from 2023 or 2022 or 2021 or 2020 or 2019.

So to avoid me losing my CBF kit junky status, let's just say I won't be using this kit next summer...

Very little change to mine for this year...
There is a new thigh pad in there and an upgraded lid, plus some new gloves... But the kit had virtually no action last summer as I pinged my Achilles and didn't play.

Still setting the example with some kit pictures.

When I get a moment (and the wife is out) I will get the new kit out for some pictures

Very excited for winter nets...

Plus my old faithful masuri with sneaky ti grille...

P. S. No, the bats don't fit in the bag sadly... But I wanted a smaller bag.

So the Stratton Fox bag can’t fit a cricket bat?

Nice kit by the way H4L looks nice and from memory that chase was one of the sub £100 R1’s they did a while back wasn’t it?

In answer to the questions
@SOULMAN1012 there is a side pocket for one bat on the SF bag. Shame there isn't one the other side. But with three kids I needed a smaller bag to fit in the car. I take the bats out anyway so it makes no difference to me.
Yes the chase is the x75 r1. I picked up some chase stickers for it on ebay and think it looks rather smart.

@wilkie113 my old favourite SG thigh pads are toast and the new versions don't seem to be the same, with no hip padding.
My son has my remfry's and a set of moonwalkr's and I liked them. They are £35 posted from India and OLS, take about a week to arrive.
These are the large size and I like them. They aren't as bulky as some and loads of pros use them, so they must be decent.

Oh and I have another pair of the gloves due to be delivered next week.

The Genus is there for a bit of fun, it was the first bat I bought on the forum, nearly 15 years ago. The other bat is my blank bats hulk bat.

For anyone interested
Pads and gloves are from the h4l outlet
The bag was from cricket-hockey, but they are available on ebay for about £68
The thigh pads you can get in the UK but I imported them from India as I wanted some small left hand ones for my younger son..
I should do his kit too actually as he has some fancy neon stash.
Elder boy is in custom Champ kit.
Daughter in a mix of kookaburra with the lovely red ink bat.
The quality of kit in our house right now is right up there.

Not a big surprise what my kit it lol

The bat was when it was new and now going into its 4th season. Just awaiting the new 2025 stickers to arrive. Use the sausage gloves from my range, and the bag is the original prototype bag from 3 years ago without the wheels that are on the newer model and the pads again are the prototype pads from 3 years ago.

Love these threads!

No new kit for me yet - I'm just here for people to convince me not to get a new Masuri TrueFit 3D helmet.

I don't need it, it's too expensive, it won't make any difference to how sweaty I get, but it does come in a matte paint job... I'll post pictures when it arrives  :)

Round two... My younger son has the best kit. 😂.

Red Ink Custom bat (made originally for his brother)
GN academy bat.
Neon pads and gloves.
Moonwalkr thigh pads
Masuri special #makenoadjustments but oops double bar titanium grille...

Round three may be my daughter's kit... It is belting stash...

Absolutely brilliant. They're very firm, firmer than Aeros so they do take ages to mould to your leg but once sorted they're class.

There’s Still some Foxy bags in stock in the Bowden and Farndon models if any CBF members are keen for one, happy to place a group order and get them sorted.
