Yes it is an interesting video. I saw this once before. Nice to know bat performance is all in our head 😂.
Indian factories still amaze me in 2024. People and machines sat on the floor working away. No footwear worn let alone any safety boot or equipment.
When the older man is sat on the floor smoothing handles day after day his back must be hurting by now.
I dont know how they do it, or put up with it year after year, surely they can ask for a chair to sit on by now.
The tree faster growth and grain structure a warmer climate was interesting.
Makes you wonder what bats will look like in 20 years time. And the cost of a G1 😱

They make some good pinging bats but durability is nonexistent. I have sold many SS player bats and they don�t even last a season. One of my teammates broke his Pooran player edition bat which was $800 usd after 15 games. While I have been using my keeley and B3 for last 4 years.

Handle break ?

Not great , guess can replace handle but still not great

Shoulders crack. This is like the 4/5 SS bat this has happened to. I also got one Indian made Gray Nic for last 2 years, nothing happened.

I had this happen with a couple of Indian made bats, but equally had the same issue with a Keeley-made with particularly skinny shoulders.

I guess we need to realise that wood is wood. If you are a good batter then you will likely face a lot more balls and net more often generally. So I guess the better you are, the shorter lifespan your bat may have in theory. Probably why mine have lasted so long!!

But wood can break at any time. I am sure than most bat brands have pretty good quality control, although possibly not all brands!!

The issues I see in shoulder splits are mostly from poor handles, which have too much flex. You can generally trace the cracks from the shoulders up into the handles where the rubbers are. Add this to the square faces, toes, drier willow etc and you'll get more bats breaking sooner.

However, the game has also changed and more stress is put on bats I think these days. Plus, the balls are generally pretty poor standard too

Agree some league balls are terrible

A lot of ppl I speak too can�t tell the difference but heavy , weird sound off the bat and just all round horrible
doesn�t even sound like a leather ball anymore

I noticed the same where demand is bigger and full but lighter bat. To fulfill this demand, manufacturers are drying their bats which shorten their lives.
