Test century number 34 for the Grandmaster Steven Smith - 11th against India, the most against said opposition.
Smith equals Gavaskar, Lara, Younis and Mahela.

Once again India found away to fight back from the death again.
Nitish Reddy with a chance less maiden century and Washington Sundar (just like 4 years ago) dig India out of a massive hole.
Australia still lead by 116, India has 1 wicket left.
2 days remaining this one could go either way yet.

Also rain in the air.
Will be an interesting second innings for Aus.
Assuming they have about a 100 run lead on first innings, Aus will want a 320 lead... Although I think 250 will be too much for a chase.

Anyone notice Sam Konstas using Small Adult size bat? He is 173 tall, very rare to see someone using Small Adult still categorically Junior size isnt it?

Bumrah 200 sticks at under 20. Quite ridiculous.

How did you work out he's using that size?

A quite marvellous days cricket.
Australia lead by 333 with 1 wicket left.
India couldve been chasing 250ish but poor chap Jaiswal had a shocker in the field shelling 3 somewhat regulation chances.
Marnus, Cummins, Lyon and Boland probably ensuring that its either an Australia win or a draw.

As for Bumrah 29 wickets at 12.75, couldve had Lyon but he bowled a no ball. Hes been a level or two above everyone else.

Great win by Aus!

with only minimal contributions in this match by Head with the bat and Mitch Marsh both with bat and ball. I do like watching Scotty Boland perform at his "home" - an old school pacer to contrast with the unique Bumrah.

Kinda karma for that shoulder action on D1  :D

Good opportunity for Aus to go onto win the Border-Gavaskar trophy outright.

India seem to be blaming everything but themselves for their loss.

In the 2nd innings, India made lots of mistakes in the field and then batting was unfocused as well.

As a neutral with no particular interest in the outcome, I have very much enjoyed this series but India have shown themselves up with their reaction to losing the Melbourne test.
