Bowling boot recommendations
« on: April 20, 2025, 05:07:58 PM »

Struggling to find bowling boots that fit, and just looking for any recommendations/feedback. Not having much luck in buying online, so will make a trip to a shop - just trying to get an idea what to look for!

Previously wore old style New Balance CK4040's in size 10 and wore these for many years. By far the best boots I've ever owned.

Bought a pair of the newer CK4040's in size 10 at the start of last year. Tight across the toes, so wore for one game and sold them on.

This year bought a pair of last year's Adidas Vector (with the dial). Again these were tight across the toe so sent them back (as it turned out Pro-Direct didn't include metal spikes with them so was refunded!)

Then bought a pair of last year's CK4040's in size 10.5. I thought going up half a size would give enough, but these are also tight across the toes. As it turned out, Allrounder sent me 2x left shoes so even if they fit I'd be struggling :).

Any suggestions on boots that have a wider fit??

Never worn bowling boots but personally found Payntr to be a bit more generous around the toe box - not sure what their current fit are like though

I don't know if they are wider fit particularly, however the ASICS gel gully 7 are brilliant shoes. Not sure where you can try them on though.

@Aswani Cricket have them in stock

Try Kookaburra. Ive just bought a pair of KC 1s (not bowling shoes) and they appear to be more roomy and seem a quality shoe.

Thanks for the recommendations. I did try on a team mates Me+U boots and they are pretty good on width.

Not having much luck as far as online shopping. When I raised the issue with Allrounder of receiving 2 left shoes, I wanted a refund but they sent replacements

Box said size 10.5.... shoes inside were size 10.
