'Goose or BlackCat?
« on: March 22, 2010, 11:15:52 PM »

Hi Guys,

After the Joker release and the 'Goose talk.  I've decided I want a Cor3 or a Joker?

I've never been impressed with the MMi3, as I don't think it suits my game...And it's a little expensive...

Never been the biggest bat lover and have never really bought maybe too be honest, and just used what I liked really.  I've had some belters, Fusion, Redback etc.  But I just use anything, and I can usually adapt my average game to use it. I don't think i've ever used a poor bat, so never really that fussed overall.

With all the hype I really wanted to find something that lifts my game, maybe the Joker or the Goose could do this?

I'd probably get a G3 Joker as again I'm not fussed on looks, but if it flys then all gravy.

Thoughts?

Only 3 people on here have a joker as far as I'm aware and they have all given very positive reviews, I'm not sure if anyone has owned both so to comment is very difficult unless you have owned both bats. Plenty of positive reviews on the cor 3 also so i suggest going with what you like best and the one which suits your budget etc.

I found the pick up on the Cor3 very good. Then again haven't picked up a joker.

Well - can't really comment on the Cor3 as have never used one.
I would tend to see if you can find a shop that stocks Mongooose, and then going and feeling what they're like?
Then grabbing one of out Jokers at nets and that shoudl give you a bit of a comparison.
And maybe see what the jokers are like in the nets?

Are there any cricket suppliers that stock both bats - as this would be the best way to determine your preference - what bats have you used in the past bully?

Ashvir - i see this as more of a reformist change than a revolutionary movement - also, i would'nt feel right putting MCF on the same list as the likes of Che Guevera, Gandhi, Trotsky, Zapata etc.

Try to pick up and get a feel for both bats!
I would ignore these people who tell you to go for one or the other without trying both first...especially as very few people have experience with both bats!!  :(
A certain bat is not good for everyone! So I would definitely say go and try both if you can!
As I said, I haven't tried a Cor3, but the MMi3 I have is very responsive indeed!! And the Joker will go like a train too!
So I would tell you to try the Cor and the joker to see which one feels nicer to you! Best of luck and hope you enjoy whichever bat you choose!  :)
