Whats the general consensus on grips? I've tired a few types but never found anything that I've been overly happy with.

Any of the gimicky ones actually much of an improvement?

Good quality Chevron and Spiral should do just about any bat, for the wrap around type was very impressed with the Aero and Lekka one's.

I've got spiral ones on a couple of bats at the moment as they have a slightly nicer feel to them, I seem to wear them out at a stupid rate though.

I've tended to use two grips as I've got hands like buckets, any opinions on which sort of grips are best to have underneath, or will just a cheap plain one do the job?

I generally have an octopus grip with a chevron on top. At the end of the day it's just personal preference

Much prefer the aero and xtrax [lekka] ones. better grip and kinder to your gloves too.

latex spiral are very good grips not sure who get them on here but there the best i have tried and i led to believe there made in the uk

The tennis style grips are about the only thing I haven't tried, big questions would be how thick do they tend to be (presuming you'll only ever have one on) and how easily do they come off when their done?

they feel like a double grip but having read other threads on the subject, some put tape on underneath to give the grip more girth!. As far as ease of removal goes their as easy to take off as they are to put on.

I use the the diamond style grips that are fairly course but have really good grip if any one knows what I mean!

i've got a lord tavs grip, it's a knurled style, that's nice, and on the hunts i've got whatever came with it... called a 'snake' bat grip apparently? Used to have a feather style, and i really liked that, until i took the tape off my bat and it ripped the grip...

without a doubt mate the diamond i think they were the 2nd on the market and still as good as any.

only ones i tend to hate are the octopus as somebody on here mentioned they rip your gloves.

only tried areo once and did not like them one bit but is that enough to form a opinion i do not think so

Don'y put too many grips on the bat as it will increase rotation and lose power, go for a second layer of binding instead.

I presume thats something I'd really need to specify when getting one made though, wouldn't know where to start doing it myself and there's a slight shortage of batmakers up this part of the world.
