At the end of the day, Variation is wasted if you cant build up any pressure, and you do this with a succesfuul stock delivery. Nothing else.

Any clever leggy knows you need to be consistent ect ect ect.... and even tbh lots of the things you guys are saying don't apply sometimes because it depends on the type of Batsman, thats the key to leg spin, bowling smart, the amount of times I get wickets by out smarting the batsman even if the ball didn't do exactly what i wanted... anyways this was more to see who can bowl a flipper, so any more takers? :L

i've been a leg spinner for all my cricketing life, and still dont even know what a flipper is. i was told by one of somerset's spin coaches a few years ago to bowl 6 leg spinners in an over. however i can and do bowl googlies and topspinners (by accident when the googly doesnt come out properly).

i think the best variation a leggie can use is a quicker ball, because 99% of the time when you bowl one, it wont go for runs, and if it doesnt pick up a wicket it still makes the batsman think a lot more.

Slower ball IMO, gets shed loads of wickets.
