I would ask Asad what he knows, he has been to the factory many times.

I told you to keep the company name under wraps, now you've just gone and leaked what is probably the biggest forum exclusive for quite some while.......cheers mike. Also, you missed out 4 +'s and 2 *'s at the end of the bat name, otherwise it looks stupid.

I am surprised there isn't more mention of Salix. Andrew Kember is a pretty useful batmaker.

Well no one mentioned Bradbury or really put gray nics up there!! Excluding the chap in Australia, and mengha Ram, i guess that is one legend we would all like to hear about or see a picture of him making a bat!!!! And John Newbury sounds like he is the father of modern bat making, and no one metioned Duncan fearnley either. And kook they got mentioned once, strange makes you wonder if they even have a bat maker left in Oz? And Andy at Saf and Gary at redback mentioned in most replys just goes to show the art of bat making is alive and well in England and James Laver etc the list goes on i wonder who does make the bats for the big brands and what they think!!!

Interesting views here as to who makes bats etc. Kookaburra have never made bats, purely a brand.

I never knew that kook did not make bats their own bats and were just a brand. And the Tim Keely sachin profile bat, does he or has he had bats made for him by Tim Keely of newbury then?

In no particular order:

1) A Redback Paradox: The profile looks ideal in my opinion. The reputation that comes with Redback is second to none on these forums, and from the bats I have seen and used, they are brilliant bats. I would definitely have one of these made if money was no obstacle.

2) A Screaming Cat: Not a particular model, however, knowing that is made by Julian Millichamp would be enough for me! I would love the opportunity to try out bats made by one of the best batmakers in the world.

3) CJI Ultimate Special Edtion: I know most of you are going to say that this is a poor choice, however, I have seen the first 7 of 50 of these bats, and they are stunning bats. Balanced and powerful bats, nice pick ups, but being a student with no job means the £200 price tag is out of my price range!

4) Gunn and Moore Icon Original LE: Everytime I see one of these bats, I want one. The profile is lovely, and I think the stickers looks top notch. I know these bats are machine made, however, I would love to try one out.

5) Millichamp and Hall Distinction: Huge bat with a lowish middle, slightly different to what I have been custom to over the last couple of seasons, however, the general size of these bats makes me want one.

2) Mongoose MMi3 Super Premium
3) Laver & Wood Signature
4) Custom make Top of the range kookaburra
5) Custom make Top of the range Gunn And Moore

*COUGH* First on the list bud ;)

2. Millichamp and hall harlequin- my favourite ever bat, has the ultimate profile in my view, balance is second to none. Dont know why i didnt buy another one really

3. Talisman- my new one feelts great, pings wonderfully.

4. Salix- like them alot, old profile.

Tough one this but what i would like to own:

1) Julian Millichamp Screaming Cat Custom
2) Laver and Wood by James Custom
3) Marty Graham Custom

To be honest i can't pick a 4 and 5 without just adding someone as an after thought so i am leaving it at three and really i only wanted to leave julian and james.
