Marty Graham runs MG2 bats in New Zealand - he used to work for Laver & Wood and learned bat making from James Laver.

He makes Aero pro bats as well as bats for at least one NZ international

I have a MG2 at the moment ( belongs to Mr.Hosk but im giving it a good old refurb) - it has the carbo cane handle and it weighs 2.5lb for a fairly sizeable bat - nice blade as well, it looks like it has a similar pressing to the lavers.
Didn't realise he made pro-bats for aero - a useful little nugget of info :)

England only have 3 major problems, they can't bat, bowl or field

Well looking back at my original list I wouldn't go for a talisman anymore!

I think I'd add saf, charlie french and h4l to my list

I don't think I'd be so bothered anymore. Since this thread started, I've tried tk willow multiple times, laminates, laver, h4l and redback. They are all lovely bats and really, having more than one already suits me fine!
