Nicki Nixon Cricket Bat Storm Review
« on: April 13, 2010, 09:15:19 AM »

Just received my new Nixon Storm which Nicki has been telling me about for a while now, and it's a cracking bat. I requested a bat around 2.8 but ideally a little under and its come back at 2.8, in a traditional profile with small edges but big big middle. I didn't request anything with regards to the look of the bat but as can be seen it's pretty stunning - 11 dead straight grains with no blemishes.

Here is my old one (2 season old) for a comparison - http://www.cricketsupplies.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=13146

A Nixon on here, it's nice to see something different. Looks great - hope it'll be a run machine for you!

awesome looking bat punter!
Nice shape and size for 2.8, looks like a mjolnir profile.

Love them, Nixons are great bats, I liked your last one and this one looks just as good, if not better

Yeah I think this one is better - it's bigger yet lighter. But the old one is still going well and will probably be used for most of the year.

I cant see it either, the quality of Nixon doesn't surprise me in the slightest, the guy is top in Yorkshire and he has a huge following here, quality speaks volumes.

Sorry I've redone the links. Norbs I'm playing outside of Cambridge term times for Oxford and hopefully SOA so I'm bound to see you at some point!

Ruler straight grains and no heartwood is the way to go :) Love the profile, definitely chunkier than his usual bats...

Very classy looking bat Punter, the smaller batmakers do really make some gems.
