Bloody April Wickets!!!
« on: April 27, 2010, 01:57:38 PM »

Just looking at some of the weekend results from my old neck of the woods. I see that Bracebridge Heath 1st XI (I beleive there are a couple of BH'ers on here) managed to cobble together 416-4 in their 50 overs v Woodhall Spa at the weekend  :o

I ahve to say the wickets I have played on this season have been top notch.  The only problem the first week was the outfield had been cut and not recut so it had clumps of cut grass left which slowed the outfield down.

Outfield was much better on sunday when I played resulting in a pretty high scoring game.  But def against the norm for April wickets

What neck of the woods are you from Johnny? I'm playing BBH in a midweek game on friday, and we've probably got them in the next round of the cup... I'm not fancying it if they're going to keep doing that! You got a link?

I live in Preston, Lancashire now, but I used to play for Cleethorpes, so I keep an eye out for scores around the area.

I looked here....  www.sportgrimsby.co.uk

That is strange, given that they fish for Haddock in the region.....
