New Laver Reserve
« on: May 12, 2010, 09:11:58 PM »

I could not resist it any more. After being so happy with the PB that I have I had to take the Laver plunge and go for the Reserve. I have to say the website sold it to me and I know it is a lot of money, could buy many more bats from other places etc etc but I love the Lavers. I probably would have gone for a Scat Pro but the exchange rate makes them too expensive, bit gutted there is one one on ebay at the mo.

There is something about the excitement of getting a new bat that I like. The spec was SH 2lb 12oz came in at 2lb 13oz picks up lovely, fully knocked in and ready to go, not tried it with a ball or mallet yet but I am sure it will be good.

Can not wait to have a hit with it tomorrow night.

Say £350 on the Laver site. Buessing that doesn't allow for postage and knocking in.

I have to admit that having spent a fair wedge of money on a bat like that, i would be scared sh!tless to hit a ball with it :) However, i would imagine that every ball middled will be well worth it! Looks a stunner barry!
Again, i really like the Laver shape, but think he could do so much better on the labels, just a few changes here and there and it could look fantastic.......but the man has to be doing something right when he has people falling over their own feet to buy one of his bats!

Did get clobbered with duty of £24. James did a bit of a deal with knocking in etc so a bit cheaper than website. Finally married and no problem spending on cricket gear, I work hard for it. I could have had a copy made for cheaper but you can't beat the real thing

Very nice bat Barry!! You will not regret the Scat Pro for too long once you unleash this on the hapless bowlers...

loving the look of it, and 19reading87 - you need to put your foot down early in any relationship and let your woman know that while she is first choice she is not your only choice.  And if she stops you getting what cricket stuff you want, you'll excersise your right of choice!!
