New Kookaburra 09
« on: September 12, 2008, 01:49:16 PM »

Kookaburra's range is quite similar sticker wise to last year. Gloves and pads are a tiny bit different.

I've seen the new Blade gloves (Sports Insight), and they look absolutely quality, really nice, split design.

The bats look nice, but are these good vis-a-via the other english willow bats availble in the UK. As far as I know the Kookaburras are made by SG fro Inida. Is this true?

I was talking to Steve Davies, the Worcs keeper,
He said that his bats were all handcrafted in Worcs?

Remember that players will be supplied with labels from their sponsors.

Some England players used Fusion remember.

I only know of Hawk in Worcester. The Kookaburra place is Corby, and I don't think they make any bats there. If he does use genuine Kooks the chances are he wouldn't know (or care) where they were made.

Some more info:

Kahuna Twins – an identical pair of Premier quality bats made from adjoining clefts. This is a unique innovation and allows players to acquire two bats which are exactly the same in terms of balance and pickup. Supplied in a presentation case. RRP £750

The Biggest Kahuna is the largest profile a player has ever seen. In weights from 3lb to 3lb 4ozs it is not for the faint hearted and even includes a health warning. Unfortunately supplies are limited so it is likely the bat will sell out quickly.

Im pleased they kept the kookaburra stickers similar, i like the new pads but the gloves look quite average in my opinion.
