Kookaburra Blade Razor
« on: May 25, 2010, 10:42:46 AM »

I'm thinking about buying a Kook Blade Razor, Long Blade, 2lb 8oz.

The problem is I'm gonna order it online and I've emailed them and they can't show me pictures of the actual bat (for what reason I don't know). I'm interested to see what the profile of the bat is at that weight as it is advertised as having;

"Unique design featuring huge profile and minimal weight"

has anyone used or seen one of these? Whats the profile like?

I have a 2'6 kook blade razor which I bought from Gilmour sports last year! It's an impressive bat, it has 28 mm edges which Is quite good for the weight IMO. It has a very light pick up, not the best grains in the world but a nice bat none the less! Especially for the price I bought it for....

If you could send me the pics or post them on here that would be awesome. What weight is it petehosk?

I made use of the Gilmour sports sale last year aswell, crazy prices, i picked up a GM hero Original but tbh it didn't look like it should have been an original.

Not evenly spaced grains! That bat is a carbon copy of my Razor! The quality of willow was very similar, I am a big fan of the Old blade profile.

I must admit that I am torn between keeping it brand new as a part of collection cos the profile is very nice, or using it myself, or selling it on ebay!
At the moment, I have managed to resist.

I would keep it :-), my bat has a similar profile and it plays like gold. Only negative thing about it is that the grip started to move and it took me some time and a lot of skills to get it back in place.
