I have seen quite a few salixs recently, albeit SH. They look really good and are really well made. I would come away from the Bradbury as I feel their prices have increased whilst quality has dropped. Also, you said the Salix's grains are spaced out, whilst the bradbury is close grained. My bradbury was closed grained and pinged for a season before dying.
As you are getting a harrow, look at durability. You want a bat that will last you up into a Senior size (not sure how close you are to that). You don't want to be spending money on Harrows, more saving up for a SH when needed.
