it's pretty tricky to find for a start!. Down a farm lane from what I remember, just in the next village to Kippax. Very helpful guys, have loads of bats in their work barn. Not used a kippax but they did a great job on taking some weight off my Dukes bat.

custom ton. I had Kippax lower the weight from a monster 3'4oz to a more manageable 2'12 but it's still got a big middle.  Before that a Pro-Century, the best bat I've had in the last 10 years - it was shaped like a Jumbo and went like a rocket for a 2'10 bat. The Dukes bats are made by the guy who use to do Gooch's bats (Mike Stannard?) and he still supplies some of the Essex guys from what I remember.

worth mentioning that the pro-century wasn't the top the range either, G2 I think. Might to relevant to your choice of bat. If you can, go to the showroom and try a few. Certainly very good value for money at the lower grades.

You must let us know how you get on and how your bat plays if you get one.

I would imagine that this will provide no added benefit to the performance of the bat - sounds like a repair more than a performance enhancing design.
I'm intrigued though - would be interesting to see it!

Sounds like they are trying to stiffen the blade possibly? Much like the kookabura graphite back idea?

i will try and get you some pics. next time we play the team with the lad iknow that has the bat! not much to look at tho jus a standard bat with 3 round dark circlues on edge.

kipax also do a wave x bat!

as far as i know the handle is not a v shape into the blade. its more of a wave design reducing vibration!

yet to see one tho with out the stickers but pick up is just same as a normal bat
