Ah right fair enough...as u can tell we haven't had to deal with such demands as yet! As a small company forking out for people to endorse stuff was something we wanted to avoid
Helmets are slightly easier to get people to use FOC as many sponsors don't cover them in their contract. They are also very much personal preference so its very tricky for brands to force all their players to use their particular own brand helmet and they're obviously more tricky to sticker up than bats. For the above reasons its much easier to pick up players to endorse a helmet for free than it is a bat. The flip side of this I'd that when a player uses a helmet the chances are he likes it, rather than is being paid big bucks to use it.

That said we've had 2 players use a Goose in game situations despite being contracted by other brands and a few others have asked their sponsors to copy/source one.

Just tell me about three player bats

Chris Gayle
Mahela Jayawardene
Kumar Sangakarra

Cheers!

Gayle's bats were quite massive but there was no consistency in shape among them... the were almost like a plain cleft with a handle and ihsan stickers...

Jayawardene bats were not that big and Sangakkara's were not that big either.... I would guess and say that Jayawardenas bat was about 2.7 2.8 well the one that I had a clear view at anyway but I wouldnt be surprised if i was told that they were 2.10, and Sanga's were a bit bigger which would put them at a definite 2.10 I suppose

Tommo...yeh helmets were my target market after the soft good experience with CCC as it certainly narrowed down the competitors in the market sector, was intrigued by the soft and bat area of sponsorship as were obviously looking to broaden our market appeal with high quality pads, gloves and bats etc

Much appreciated for your informative response.

Do you by any chance remember number of grains etc? And perhaps figured out the batmaker?

Once again thanks

He would not bring coloured pads with him for a new county, they would have been provided by Somerset.

Yeah probably :), or a few to choose froma nd he prefered! He's a big lad and all bradbury pads that i've had have been fairly small so maybe prefered the bigger sizes!! As you say doesnt really matter!!! How long is he with somerset for?
