Well second away match yesterday against Surrey for the Devon Disability cricket team, I turned up with a Ankle twice its normal black and twice its normal size!!! Then got conned into using a Brand spanking new Laver and Wood Private Bin. Now i am no amateur i have used SS Ton Platinum reserves, Millichamp bats, and top enf Gunn and Moores bats, but nothing prepared me for this Laver. Third ball in to the innings after all the guys have been knocked over for 50 i swept a slow spinner expecting it to stay below waist height and not break past mid on, and i have to stress this is no lie!!!!! I ended up caught at full stretch deep mid wicket. I have never seen a bat or held a bat perform like this ever!!!! And i normally use a top end BAS supplied by Assad of UZI sports. Now i never used to buy into all the bat makers gumf but i kid you not Laver bats or actually this Laver bat hits the ball further than any other bat i have ever held!!!! Can't thank James Laver enough for agreeing to supply our lads with bats at near cost price!!
