Hi,

We are looking to introduce our own range of Gloves and Pads for 2011 and would like to get an idea What sort of design you guys like.
If any ones design is chosen, he will get Free Pads and Gloves from our range.

Shark tooth design gloves in electric blue (standard)

Like these but the index finger in blue and the rest white with blue wristband and without the little motifs on the fingers.

Pads:

but instead of camo have electric blue with the Uzi sports logo on the inside of the top hat.

hi Asad, Ive got some rough sketches of batting and keeping gear including protectoin like thigh guards (college is boring lol). I dont have a scanner though

Personally, I like the blue stash, much like Colesy.
Being an old school traditionalist, my favourite gloves at the moment are the Kook Ice 850 gloves and while I have Ice Sub Zero pads at the moment (which are fantastic) to compliment the gloves, the top of the range GN Nitro pads I think look the best and have the best protection on the market at the moment (a bit like the BAS Shadow pads). So something like that would be ideal for me - but with minimal logo's.

My one problem with the SS platinum stuff (which I also very much like the look of and if I was in the market I would seriously consider) is that the logo's are too prominent - so while it doesn't need to be unbranded, keeping the logos small and clear is my preferred option - which is one of the reasons I didn't go for the ICE 850 pads as there are way too many graphics of the front of the pads.

I also like the fact that the top of the range kook stuff has extra protection for your front leg - adding to some amusing chat when you see a batsman with his pads on the wrong way around - ie with the extra protection on the back leg.

For pads, something like this only with a cut out knee roll/knee locator.

Or even 2 strap pads, but must be very well priced.

For Gloves, something nice and white/plain with not too much colour on them. I would buy some as my next pair if they were competitively priced i.e �25-�30 with Pittards palm.

Yeah i really like those pads, and the corresponding gloves for them, maybe with a splash of colour, but not a huge amount, and subtle branding, reasonable prices as choopy says and you'll be on to a winner!

I think �25-30 is low. �35-45 should be the price range - You cant just expect the prices to keep being lowered. It devalues the product as well, so you probably wont look after them.

I agree, personally I like a bargain, but will also pay for quality.

depends on what market your going for quality,prestige,cheap...

most on here are on here for a bargain and the softs world is well combative at best of times....

traditional pads are a winner in my eyes i find most knee rolls are positioned badly on most pads ie bulky and uneven..

i also find the bottom strap is to high on most pads but i like small well fitted pads that sit low but everybody is different..

so the ultimate pad for me is a cane and form mixture i think something along the lines of the ss matrix pads but if you want to be different why bother with 3 straps and make a moulded version

after buying around 10-15 pairs of pads looking for the right pad for me recently i still think the traditional pad is whe way forward which should incorporate a bigger cut on the bottom like the gm nixon keeping pads so instead of having to brake the canes they natural sit on your foot..

pricewise i suspect 2 models both the same style but with different materials used a premier and custom with the premier around 25-30 pound and the custom around 50-65 pound...

gloves are well a big thing i have treid many as well and it a balance between quality and durability some so called pittards last about 3 good innings before the start to rip and frey so i must admit i have become a gloves snob and if i do not like the pittards i will not buy..

about the design nice and clean not to bulky as i finding many gloves bulky as well i like the indian pittard because i can keep the feel if you get my drift but with some big brand gloves they feel like i have 5 rubbers on and get no feel.

the best glove i have used recently are a set of blank gloves i got light yet protective and the palm was a cheap pittard style you could feel they were sharktooth in design and very clean and simple and cost around 25 pound which i think is around the price i would like to spend on gloves

Some of the best quality gloves I have bought have been �25-�30 such as the Kookaburra Ice Sub Zeros and my Itias gloves, high quality should not mean high cost. The only reason I bought those gloves over say Kookaburra RPs is because of price.....

Best gloves ive had is the ones i got now. Absolute steal �10 for brand new bradbury players gloves. Got to love ebay sometimes lol!
