Yes, but they made their first foray in 2007. It was initially removed from sale along with the GM model.

I would say Aero certainly popularised the wrap around grip. Perhaps attributing the design to them may be unfair.

GN had the wrap around grips on pro performance bats. I can remember purple ones so maybe back to 2004 or earlier.

McGlashan was heavily influential in the Nike shoe design too, as he is an International cricketer with a bio-mechanics degree. He also uses a Mongoose, despite being contracted to Aero.

They did, it was very similar to a Tennis grip. However they never sold successfully and many shops didn't stock them. They were standard issue on their titanium and carbo bats.

Aero have sold successfully and i would say popularised it.

Always interesting to see the design/innovation debate about how newer products have come about, I think previous or older products will always influence or have some impact on the evolution of newer products IMO.

We had them produced by a graphical designer originally going back to the designs we licensed to CCC he has no idea about cricket but gave him a design spec and he came up with a few different ones with various geographical shapes being used etc

Last 10 years I would argue Puma and their Puma Classic kit, radical looking kit at the time moving away from cane style pads, sausage gloves, boring stickers and passive marketing.

I think the next 5 years will see different styles of bats (not standard measurements) and speficially designed T20 kit.

I think they have, I had my finger broken twice wearing crap gloves, nearly all gloves now are better than the very best 10 years ago.

for me bats will always self evolve but we seem to be stuck still in softs for a few years company have played it safe yes puma and aero and ccc all tried but were still waiting for the market defining pad

gloves have improved without a doubt but given the choice in pads and i have tried a lot i would still say gn test opener are still up there and they should not be..

why are people still braking canes at the bottom of there pads instead of people putting bigger arches in as gm have done with the nixon keeping pads..
