very similar in design but look more cumbersome than the Aero version, been getting on well with the strippers since trying them offers everything apart from the box holder that would complete the product i think!

I think Aero have already advised they do not plan to add a box holder to their strippers, as they couldn't find a practical way to do it, though they have released an Aero box brief to compliment the strippers.

I noticed Claude Henderson of Leicestershire was using a Duncan Fearnley with old-school stickers on, on TV the other week. But this bat doesn't seem to be commercially available. Someone's a bit slow on the uptake, I reckon.

It's a question that we have looked at a lot.  The trouble with this is that the stability required for a box (you don't want it moving around at all!!!) conflicts with the maneuverability and stretch that the strippers provide.  Hence we have released top flight underwear and a great cup that both integrate with the strippers.  But they are not part of the stripper system per se.  We had a shot at developing some shorts with this cup as well, but the box just wouldn't stay in place.  Watch this space...

Double finger protection for the bottom hand goes back to the late 70s. Look for pictures of Gavaskar in 79; DF bat, Morrant pads and unbranded gloves.

By 1980, Gooch was using DF branded double protection gloves; most other brands followed suit soon after. One brand, Arcass even had double finger protection for both top and bottom hands.

IIRC, Dennis Amiss and Glenn Turner were the main players whose names were used to promote the brand. The Arcass batting pads were also quite distinctive. Chris Broad also used Arcass pads and gloves when first got into the England team, as did the player he replaced, Andy Lloyd.
