Vikram is using a retro looking Fearnley this season.

The gloves Alec Stewart is using these pics actually have a hard plastic shell over the bottom two fingers of the bottom hand. This was an accessory sold separately, and basically taped to the glove.
His gloves have a pleasingly simple design as well
Bat shape is not radical, unless you are so young as not to know about the Excalibur, or Multi Balance or Hi Tech or Uzi, shall I go on? Yes I shall, Newbery have been behind nearly every change to a cricket bat for the last 30 years, excluding Graphite backing. The spiceless bat, the first non cane handle, the first shortened blade/elongated handle and when you know their history you wouldn't bet against them having something else radical that they won't be sharing with any old brand.
Agreed, it would be awesome if they could bring out a retro range - especially as the main people who would buy the bats are in their 30/40's now so have more disposable income whilst still looking to relive their youthful memories of Ian Terence Botham smashing the ball into the confectionery stand and hooking Lillee with his eyes closed... marvellous
I might be able to get a original set of SP stickers for you and a bat made to shape by the original maker, got some nice Scoops but not for sharing and also picked up a set of Sondico gloves.
I looked at some at Robertsbridge last year, they sold them all to Sports World..... so had a new one made by a friend. Will also have a new Classic to reveal in a month, will turn a few heads!!!
