Removing bat stickers

I have removed the bat stickers but there is a lot glue residue still left on the wood and im struggling to get it off, does anyone know how to remove the glue?

Any help would be appreciated.

Nail polish remover will do the trick

tried nail polish remover with a cloth and doesnt work
