Is he saying he won't make one when you specifically ask for a light bat?

I asked for 2 7 to 2'10 and got 2'11 so no, he doesn't Do light bats and he is a 1 profile batmaker.

has the novelty of getting a G1 custom made bat for £115 worn off now that people are looking for bats in the 2.7-9 weight range if he cant supply them sub 2.10?  I thought you could ask for whatever profile you wanted as it was custom made?

I swapped a very good one with watsons and truth be told was a good un but dead weight was all wrong

Customised companys do not give you a 2lb 11oz when you ask for a 2lb 8oz or they shouldn't.
To me people who want less returns make bats only over 2 lb 10oz as many makers do not like making 2lb 7 and under

Seems a strange approach, Roger Weston has made bats for some very good players I doubt they all used 2.10+

It will all be down to the quality of the willow, a low percentage will make the light big bats we see a lot of on here. Lets remember that members are a little on the obsessive side of life and tend to have better than average bats. You will be able to make 2.7 in a nice shape but once this willow is used it will become 2.8 then 2.9 and follow on. Eventually all you have left is the heavy stuff.

so he lets the light stuff go to his higher profile customers? seems fair when he's charging only £100. The bats must be good or else people wouldn't keep buying them.

I would say that it is more likely a case of first come first served.

His bats are good, I can testify to that. So far I have scored close to 600 runs in all Cricket with mine.
