Ah the big smoke where the lights are bright and the cider is scarce! :( sounds like a good plan mate be rude not to have a gathering the night before to swat up on sales pitches such as "look at the girth on eeee mind!" which will be my west county chat for selling a bat as well as hittin people over the head with one when they have a helmet on!

you wont find those techniques in the sales bible!

They've asked me to present my soon to be released papers

"How Cider has influenced the Dynamics of Cricket Bat Making"

and

"Why a 50 pence should be used as a standard edge measurement for a Cricket Bat"

The first cricket box was used in 1874.  The first cricket helmet was introduced in 1974. So, it took 100 years for men to twig that their brains were also worth protecting.

blinding mate will u have a graduation ceremony with a batman robe and square hat? these are the kind of papers that need writing and are of interest not molecular make-up of a one celled micro-organism ;)

Not sure they do shows for the public to go and look at the new gear as it would surely be better to get you to visit your local sports shop in order to do so and generate them some business in the process in the hope that you might buy something??

At "Norbs Bat" our motto is "Unus pes in furtum quod unus pes in talea"

---- "One foot in the furture and one foot in the bar"

I belive there is one at Twickenham in October as well that I'm meant to be going too?!?

Ahem - as I stand astride Twickenham like a sign-making colossus, I think you will be needing an assistant for that day.

Think of all the free marketing signage you could bag for the show by 'employing' me for the day!!

This is fitting. we can round a solid day's trading off with a superb curry and several ciders in Twickenham (wearing your helmets of course!)

Safety 1st.... safety always especially when pickled on cider! The dangers of passing out and injuring urself safely removed....drinking through the grill with a straw cud be potentially tricky!

Not a problem - you are on my 'turf' and I will look after you. Anyway, no-one needs a damaged helmet on a night out!"
