cheapest way of packing and posting a cricket bat

hi all,

i need to return a bat to be repaired, where do i get a box from and whats the cheapest way of posting it?

cheapest is 4 pound 2nd class i have had and just bubblewrap and stick a binliner over it

i have never sent any bat with insurance and often not even recorded but then again i only deal with people i trust,,

you can make a bat box out of a large box mate

Go through a courier company like p4d, or parcel monkey, they insure the item and gets there recorded

dhl next day with insurance is likely to be about £12-14 via Parcel2Go.com

I have used P4D and they have been OK but if you put P4D or Parcel Monkey into google and read the reviews then they aren't great. Might be better sticking with the Royal Mail as you could send it standard parcels with £100 compensation for around £6 but it wouldn't be tracked - depending on the Post Office you might be able to send it via Special Delivery but the dimensions are right on the edge of their limits (I think it is 90cm length for rolled items) and some will take it, some won't. If they do you would get £500 compensation and tracking plus next day delivery for around £9. Hope that helps.

Not the cheapest but £11 with the post office gets you tracked, next day by 1pm with £200 insurance.
Make sure it is a medium parcel as a tube.
As for wrapping. Bubble wrap and cardboard...

I sometimes also used DPD local through work.

Never had problems with either
