You may have to patent the new measurement systems

Norbs got their first :(

Either way I am a caring sharing kind of chap, happy for all to be involved. The clock is ticking for the BES to make it's first appearance on eBay...

BAT 36 - Talisman Perfect Storm

This is a special bat! Weighs in at under 2'11 and is very large with unreal quality willow!
It is most definitely in my kitbag alongside my Black Cat! The edges are not alot under 40mm, which is pretty impressive considering the weight! And before anyone asks, NO it's not a laminate!
There are around 12/13 grains - these are not exactly dead straight. But this really doesn't matter as this is size and performance on this rocket! I thought it was knocked in and used the bat in the nets without a sheet and got 2 tiny surface cracks. These are not deep or nasty, but I have now done the relevant hammering and sheet / edge tape application!
And whilst knocking the bat in, I got more and more excited! The bat was very responsive to start with.....but it just got better and better as I knocked it in! The willow is like a trampoline and has that gorgeous sound and bounce that is not that common!
Have I used it in the middle? Not yet! But in a T20 game, I was brave enough to lend it to a no10/11 batsman. The only reason I leant it to him was because I knew he wasn't a hard hitter and never dealt in boundaries....in fact the score sheet generally had 1's next to his name! But when he got out after scoring 7 runs (better than normal for him) he was smiling like a Cheshire cat! The reason for this was a little glancing shot that he played to the leg side for a single, and stopped dead in his tracks when the fall went like a bullet to the boundary! He was happy and admitted that the boundary was down to the 'ping' of the bat and not his batting skills! But he is now a big fan!
~Anyway, have included the picture of the 40mm coin (otherwise known as the BES measurement) And I am so looking forward to using this bat in the nets! The bat wasn't cheap, but I am pleased to say that in this case I got what I paid for!

Pics to follow..............

I second that. It's massive and impressive.

From what I have read on this forum Mike when getting his bats made or Talisman bats usually look for those massive profile bats rather than grain savvy bats. The bats which he owns and the kind of profile they have look no different than a professional players. Personally I really liked this thought, hence, when I got my bat made recently I asked for samething.

Thanks Mike and Pete :)
