I am knocking it in at the mo....that bat plus 2 others!
I'm banned from knocking in bats at home whilst anyone is in!  :(
So I only get 30 mins a day whilst taking the dogs out over the fields!
It's likely to be winter nets by the time I unleash it! I do have a few question marks over whether it will perform any better than a normal bat though, as it's 3lb Lam with 40mm+ edges. But any 3lb bat with huge edges is likely to go like a train anyway. So may compare the Lam with the 3lb Matrrixx or the Blueroom Swell bats, and see if it performs any better?

Why is that out of interest?
I would have though that the back piece would be the most important part and that the front piece would be more of a cosmetic issue???

You've hit the nail on the head with regards to laminates, some are great don't get me wrong, but quite a few are just the Batter's perception

A long story will ensue which I don't want to goto on the forum as technically they not MCC... blah blah blah.  I am however, as always for you Dom, happy to discuss out side of this forum  :o [the shocked face is my new favourite thingy-ma-jig by the way]

Oh a quick caveat I assume Asads are hand picked, as always, and blinders

Looking at the join on the two CA bats the bat face piece is fairly thick in comparison to some other laminates that i have seen. The ones i have seen have a much thinner join on the front. im sure the SS turbo's had a thinner bat face piece too.

I was thinking that too, edge wise it's pretty much a 50:50 split, whereas others I've seen have been maybe 10%. I've only ever actually tried (which came via a SA first class player - no idea if he used them or just had one about0 and it went very well.

Adam -Welcome to the forum, you are in the Uzi sports section of the forum, so I suspect speaking to Uzi sports will be a good place to start! Do remember, as you will see when you look around the forum some more, that these laminated bats are not legal for use in matches.
