Somerset were the best side.

a)Had Cork not got annoyed by the awesome hitting of Pollard and a result try to kill him, we could have posted a score higher than 175.
b)Had Kieswetter managed to hit the stumps in the final over of the match, Somerset would have gone home as winners.
c)Had the man at square-leg managed to catch Sean Ervine in the penultimate over.
d)Had Pollard been able to bowl, or even field.
e)Somerset would have also been 5 down had Cork not been a ~#@~

In my opinion, Somerset were robbed.
And Dominic Cork is one heck of a >@{~@}?

If Somerset threw the ball to the bowlers end last ball and took the bails off wouldn't Christian have been out cos he ran and the runner didn't

I was praying that Christian did something like what Pakistan did to New Zealand in the West Indies.
2 runs off one ball, i've seen that scenario before.

@petehosk - You would say the same thing if your team made it to the final and lost in two consecutive years!!!

a...if i was a quick bowler i would try and hurt batsman simple....
b...so he missed the stumps lots of big if's
c..so he made up for it with a magnificent stop 2nd to last ball to take it to a last ball
d..had adams blasted more runs like he has done most of the season......lots of if's
e..is it not cork job to win cricket matches????

WazzaAfridi - Cork was doing his job a a bowler. Notts had shown earlier that Pollard didn't like short pitched bowling and as a player who can change the game Hampshire were right to exploit this weakness. You can't criticize Cork for bowling at a batsmans weakness! That's the point of a bowler! Pollards injury was horrible but you can't say 'Cork tried to kill him'  All the other facts you mention were Somersets flaws eg dropped catches and missed run outs so they lost themselves the game in that aspect.

I think you need to accept Hampshire won and stop moaning!

Look at the video replays; both Christian and his runner ran.

Cork didn't try and kill Pollard. If you saw Cork's reaction, you will have seen he was very upset. We tried to bowl a dot ball; unfortunately Pollard got hurt.
b)Had Kieswetter managed to hit the stumps in the final over of the match, Somerset would have gone home as winners.

But he did't. Perhaps he needs to prectice throwing at the stumps
c)Had the man at square-leg managed to catch Sean Ervine in the penultimate over.

But he didn't
d)Had Pollard been able to bowl, or even field.
e)Somerset would have also been 5 down had Cork not been a ~#@~

no, they bottled it
And Dominic Cork is one heck of a >@{~@}?

Whats your point...

You should accept Hampshire won and not make a list of excuses which are all either Somersets own fault or part of the game! You can't blame the whole loss on Pollard being injured, he wasn't batting brilliantly anyway and your hardly a one man team. Another of your players could have stepped up but didn't.
