McLean Sports - Bat Reviewers and Testers

Good evening gentlemen.

I am looking for around 3-4 forum members to test out my new range of bats. I already have 1 member who is keen to test them. These bats will be arriving in approximately 3-4 weeks and the stickers are being sent to the printers tomorrow. The bats will weigh between 2lb 8oz and 2lb 12oz with a profile I have used on my bats for a long time. I will be visiting the factory in mid February to hand pick the bats, and already have made plans for this.

Price of these bats will be approximately £70 posted, and they will be Grade 2 English willow.
All bats will come with: A padded bat cover with my logo, a free scuff sheet, a white snake grip and a toe guard applied as standard! I can also knock in the bats free of charge if required!

All I am looking for at the moment is potential members who would be willing to help out in the reviews. Any interest, please PM me and I will be happy to give more information.

Is this £70 to test them or to buy them once they are realeased from the Bat cave?

That price to review and keep. Of course, I wlil be purchasing some advertising space on the forum when I can and then all the reviews can go into there.

Well I've committed to taking one as long as they are suitable which I'm sure they will be, hopefully a few others will and that will give Craig a fair chance of making it a success.

Thanks for the comment Rich, and I hope this is the start of something successful. I have been researching everything for around a year now so keen to start this project. Ideally, not the best time to launch a cricket brand, however, this means it will be ready for the start of the 2011 season.

In regard the testers, I have a full quota now, and these are:

1) WatsonTotty
2) Peplow
3) PeteHosk
4) Buzz
5) Kenbriooo

Of course, this is not set in stone, so if any of the above wish to drop out, no worries! :)

You might have to wait a long time for a review off PeteHosk - he has 90-odd other bats to get through first!

Craig knows I'll make an exception for him! We go back a long way!  ;)
I have already looked at prices for hiring the indoor nets, and they just happen to have a very underused bola machine!  :D
And there are several of the older colts who are eager to join me, so all bats may just get a few more testers than normal!

Just an update on the whole situation, bats will be ordered on Tuesday 31st August and it should take around 2-3 weeks until the testers receive their bats.

Yeah with a year off i will be testing this bat to pieces! Like petehosk, i may have others with me that can give views on it to so will be very thorough! 1 thing craig, do we review etc on here, or to you?

Peplow, on the forum would be ideal, but not essential.

No printers will accept a design like that to be printed. Has to be high quality EPS file without the bat background too.

Yes they are all on PSD files in high quality, this is just a sample put simply on a bat template.
