Spyder Bats
« on: September 03, 2010, 10:03:28 AM »

Hello,
I saw a topic on them in 'for sale' other day and wondered about them. Who makes them? Where they are made? Prices? etc?

Cheers

Spyder bats are based in staffordshire and run by Gary, they are a cricket retail company who also sponsor several county pros.

Not sure who makes them or the prices as such as I had an email from Gary some time ago about stocking our helmets in his store.

The Spyder bats used by some County players seem to go very well too!
It's a brand I haven't tried, but would be interested to see how they go!  8)

A couple of lads at my club have them, they seem to love them. I've tapped them up with a ball. Good rebound and good pick up. I noticed they only have 2 rubber inserts in the handle

Possibly the only brand you haven't tried Pete?

I have just noticed that Spyder have lost the two Irish sponsored batmen-Kevin O'Brien and Paul Stirling.

Both batsmen have been snapped up by SS. That is a big loss to a small company going into a world cup

Some brands have signed up players/teams for the world cup only and they are free to use whoever there after
